Dr. Rose Marie Battaglia Christmas Tournament

The 4th annual Dr. Rose Marie Battaglia Christmas Basketball Tournament took place from December 26 through  December 29, 2009 at BA. Our thanks to the BA Parent Association and the many families who helped with food, refreshments and admissions; to Coach Mike Jones for organizing the event; and to our students who played hard during each game.

The Dr. Rose Marie Battaglia Christmas Tournament is named after legendary basketball coach, Dr. Rose Marie Battaglia who coached Benedictine Academy to several championships.  Dr. Battaglia is a teacher, coach, mentor, and outstanding contributer to women sports in the United States. She was honored before the final game on December 29, joined by alumnae who played for her during her coaching years at the Academy.
