BA Problem-Solving Week: March 8-12; Career Day on March 10   

SCHOOL REACH MESSAGE- FEBRUARY, 2010

The Benedictine Academy Parent Association, BAPA, invites all parents to come to the next BAPA community parent meeting on Wednesday, February 24 at 6 p.m. in the BA cafeteria.

This is a high priority meeting, featuring two important speakers. Mr. Derrell Bradford of the NJ School Choice Alliance will speak about the possibility of a pilot corporate tax credit scholarship bill being brought before the NJ Legislature. Your support as parents for this vital bill is critical. It would fund scholarships for low-income students in eight NJ school districts including Elizabeth and Newark. Many of our BA families could benefit from this bill if it is brought to the Legislature for a vote. Please attend this meeting to hear more about how this proposed legislation could benefit you and how you can help ensure its passage.

In addition, Liz McConahay Wanfried, our Theatre Program Director, will update us on the arts program at BA. She is also seeking to form a parent group that can assist with theatre projects at the school. Please come and see if you might be able to help a little or a lot!

You will earn service hours for attending. Refreshments will be served.
