Welcome Prospective Students and Parents,
We are delighted that you are considering Benedictine Academy, a college preparatory school for young women, as one of your choices for high school. We invite you to explore the BA website to see what we are about, and to discover the unique aspects of a Benedictine education. Our students enjoy individualized attention and encouragement as they build a solid educational and spiritual foundation for their future success in college and in life. Smaller classes and the size of our student body, just under 200 students, allow you to grow as a person – academically, spiritually and socially -- in a stimulating environment with qualified, caring teachers, who will do all they can to ensure your successful high school experience.
The Academy is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. We also are a recognized Service-Learning Leader School, with many opportunities to do service for others.
Applying for high school can be an awesome undertaking. Just ten years ago, I was in your shoes, researching and comparing high schools. I found it to be both an exciting process, and a bit overwhelming. (I was fortunate to realize, however, after the first few minutes I spent at a BA Open House, that this was the place for me!) Soon you may be feeling overwhelmed by the many activities involved in finding the right high school for you -- from attending Open Houses…to visiting schools for an entire day… to taking the Cooperative (COOP) Exam. You may receive acceptance letters from several schools and then you must choose the one you believe will be the best fit for you. Remember, we are here to answer your questions, and help guide you in taking this next big step. I encourage you to call us if there is anything we may do to assist in your decision. I would be delighted to take you around the Academy and illustrate to you why Benedictine Academy can make as big a difference in your life as it has in mine.
