Benedictine Academy strives to offer a wide array of clubs and activities to complement our rigorous academic programs. Every faculty member moderates a club, which reflects the school’s mission to foster personal self-expression as well as social involvement. On campus, our students show leadership by taking active roles in our morning homeroom meetings, serving as Big Sisters, or playing on athletic teams. Off campus, BA students participate in various volunteer efforts such as the local food bank or senior citizens’ center.
The Senior class surprised the underclassmen with an impromptu Macarena flash mob.
Recognizing that many women are at risk of unsuspected heart disease, the Senior Class and Moderators celebrated GO RED today (on Valentine's Day) with the entire school community to help raise money for the American Heart Association.
Clothing Drive – By the Pound
Our Students In Action are paying attention to the signs of the times – the early snowfall served as a warning to be prepared for the cold winter months ahead. We also had cause to reflect on our neighbors who were falling on hard times.
"Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers that you do unto Me. When I was naked, you clothed me..." (Mt 25:31-46).
So, a call went out through the school and we collected over 1,000 pounds of clothes for our neighbors in need.
